Dr. Una Agnew, is a Sister of St. Louis and Associate Professor at The Milltown Institute of Philosophy and Theology, in Dublin. She comes from the next parish to Patrick Kavanagh and having studied spirituality in Pittsburgh University, wrote her thesis on Kavanagh. She is author of The Mystical Imagination of Patrick Kavanagh: A Buttonhole in Heaven, published by The Columba Press. Dr. Agnew teaches spirituality in the Milltown Institute and runs weekend seminars and workshops on Patrick Kavanagh and his poetry.
